READING:

Students are expected to read for 20 minutes each night. This can be from a chapter book, article, online resource, etc. 

Although I do not formally track this, we will sometimes have classroom discussions about what we are reading at home.

SPELLING:

Weekly spelling tests will be given every Friday. Students will mark their own tests each week. A spelling packet will be sent home every Monday as a way for students to practice the spelling words of the week. These packets do NOT need to be returned to school.
